Day 1 - DONOSTIA – SAN SEBASTIÁN
Arrive in Donostia – San Sebastián, also known as the Pearl of the Cantabric Sea, is one of the cities that best combines gastronomy, culture and beauty, combining all in an unrivalled natural environment also welcomes the traveller as one more in the city.
Guided tour through the Old Town and pintxos based dinner, done in a modern way that will still make you feel like a local. Design your own route, ask for our suggested pintxos and use PintxoBox tokens to pay for the pintxos and drinks, and feel safer. Easy and simple.
Transfer to hotel and accommodation.
Day 2 - ASTIGARRAGA AND PASAIA
Breakfast in the hotel.
Transfer to Sagardoetxea (Cider house) Museum, located in Astigarraga. It will be our meeting place and the perfect place to learn about the culture of cider in the Basque Country.
Of course, an experience of this kind would not be the same without the typical menu served in a cider house: cod, cod omelette, steak, Idiazabal cheese and walnuts and, most of all, a lot of cider.
Later, in the afternoon, the sea will be waiting for us. Accompanied by our guide and to discover the historical link between cider and Basque Coast, we will go to Pasaia, the most important and advanced port in Gipuzkoa. After sailing in a traditional boat, we will visit the maritime culture centre, Ondartxo where there are some of the naval prototypes that once sailed the seas carrying cider kupelas.
Transfer to San Sebastian and free time for dinner.
Day 3 - ORIO
Breakfast in the hotel.
Transfer to Satxota, a traditional cider house where we will know about the past of cider, raw material and process. The visit will end with a pintxo and a drink around the "kupelas".
Transfer to Orio. A typical fishing village that has many attractions that will captivate the visitor.Lunch and free time.
Transfer to Donostia.
Day 4 - DONOSTIA-SAN SEBASTIÀN
Breakfast in the hotel.
In the morning, entrance to the La Perla Thalassotherapy, heir of the Belle Époque atmosphere. Queen Maria Cristina established the summer resort of the royal house in the city, as her greatest pleasure was swimming in the sea, combining the therapeutic effects, relaxation and wellness.
With a private tour guide, the schedule, duration and activities can be adjusted to meet your needs. Please, provide any special requests you have.
Please note that this tour is a culture and food tour. But, you will get a pair of local snacks as well as a walk through the old quarter of San Sebastian in order to learn about the Basque culture and gastronomy. Please note that you will not receive a full meal.
