 WHAT TO EXPECT

Day 1 - DONOSTIA - SAN SEBASIÁN

Arrive to Donostia – San Sebastián, also known as the Pearl of the Cantabric Sea, is one of the cities that best combines gastronomy, culture and beauty, combining all in an unrivalled natural environment that also welcomes the traveller as unique in the city.

In the afternoon, we will have guided tour through the romantic city that runs along the Cortazar’s enlargement, projected in the second half of the nineteenth century after the demolition of the wall that protected the village. The streets, drawn perpendicularly, form an ordered and serene city where sandstone buildings are integrated into the environment, and is easy to guess the French influence in their designs.

We will have a pintxos-based dinner, meet local people and discover their way of life. Design your own route, ask for our suggested pintxos and use PintxoBox tokens to pay the pintxos and drinks. Easy and simple.

Transfer to Getaria, we will have the opportunity to taste Getaria’s txakoli and preserves from local producers in our favorite deli.

Lunch at one of the best restaurants in town, restaurant Kaia-Kaipe where tradition and good ingredients have managed to take their dishes to the finest tastiness for all senses.

In the afternoon, transfer to Zarautz and free time to explore the village and explore its streets. It is a beautiful villa with great artistic and architectural interest, plus an exceptional natural environment. The beach and its spectacular waves claim to serve thousands of surfers.

Once the tour is finished, transfer to a Txakoli winery located in the foothills of Jaizkibel. Its proximity to France makes this wine becomes the gateway of Wine Tourism in Euskadi. A magical space from which you can see the sea in all its splendour and especially during the stormy days when the waves rammed in all its fury against the rocks of the cliff.

Then we recommend to go up in the centenary funicular to the Igeldo amusement park, a park of those who no longer will be the delight children and adults. From here you can enjoy the most iconic and recognized views of the Concha Bay.
